Sometimes I’ll just let something play in the background while I’m cooking or folding laundry, and I realize hours later that I didn’t even switch it off. There’s something about the noise, the chatter, or just the randomness that makes it easy to have on while doing other stuff. It feels a bit like having people in the room without actually having to talk to anyone, which is oddly comforting when the house is too quiet.
